GDG Security Statement

GDG utilizes some of the most advanced technology for Internet security available today.  GDG is hosted in a secure server environment that uses a firewall and other advanced technology to prevent interference or access from outside intruders. GDG continuously monitors our services for security breaches and will notify your organization’s main contact in the event of a breach.

GDG has been certified as a TRUSTed Cloud Program Member by TRUSTe. A copy of our certification is available for download.

When you access the GDG service via https, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology protects your information using both server authentication and data encryption, ensuring that your data is safe, secure, and available only to registered users in your organization. Your data will be completely inaccessible to unauthorized viewing and/or use.

Using GDG, you can provide each user in your organization with a unique username and password that must be entered each time a user logs on. It is you and your users responsibility to safeguard your login information. In the event that your login information is compromised, an unauthorized user may gain access to your data and may be able to modify that data. GDG is unable to differentiate between unauthorized access and authorized access using legitimate login credentials.

When a user logs in, GDG issues a session “cookie” only to record encrypted authentication information for the duration of a specific session. The session “cookie” does not include the password of the user. GDG does not use “cookies” to store other confidential user and session information, but instead implements more advanced security methods based on dynamic data and encoded session IDs.
